The WA Z Register is holding a track day at Collie Motorplex on Wednesday 21st of October from 9am to 1pm.
Please note we are aware that this is a midweek event, but the reality is that the circuit is simply not available for event hire on weekends at an affordable cost.
Registration cost ranges from $170 to $210 depending on the number of entries on the day. Payment (cash or card) will be made directly to Collie Motorplex when completing registration on the day. There could be invited entries from some non-Z Register drivers in order to assist with offsetting the track hire costs if required.
A sandwich or burger lunch will be organised at the completion of track activities.
A track day will enable you to drive your Z fast in a safe regulated environment. We will have the Collie (long circuit) track for 4 hours (9am to 1pm) with small groups of cars on track at any one time. The Clerk of Course will run through some basic rules for a safe participation on the day. The idea is to drive fast and smooth and to be really predictable. There will be some experienced drivers in attendance for advice should you require it.
Requirements include:
- · a suitable helmet (motor bike or better standard)
- · wrist to ankle clothing i.e., a long sleeved shirt and long pants
- · covered shoes.
- · A Motorsport Australia licence is required, if you do not have one a single event day licence can be purchased when registering at the track for $85
- · your car must be track worthy meaning:
- o no fluid or oil leaks
- o working indicator and brake lights
- o secure driver’s seat
- o operative seat belts.
- o It is highly recommended to have new brake pads or at least check your existing pads for the event
Our idea is to just have safe track fun, driving our Zs as they should be driven.
